Last Saturday night Cruiserweight J.J. Corn lost his farewell fight by majority decision in his home town at the LCO Casino in Wisconsin to Boyd Davis of St. Paul, MN. Davis fought for the first time since 2007 to pull off the upset of the former international title holder. While the Boxers and Writers Magazine prediction was for corn to win based on Davis’ long layoff, this is one in a long streak of recent losses for the wheathered Corn. Davis is an excellent boxer and no slouch for Corn to choose to face in what he announced to be his final fight before retirement. All the best to the “Native Sensation” in his retirement, and good luck to the 43-year-old Davis if he chooses to compet in the future.
