On Friday, February 24, the University of Nevada Reno collegiate boxing team continued its 2012 season with an action packed night of competition at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in downtown Reno. Visiting teams were represented by boxers from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, the University of Washington, Army’s West Point Academy, and the Air Force Academy. The most impressive performance of the night came from 112 pound National Collegiate Champion Andrew Pinneda of Air Focrce who outboxed Cas Pang of UNLV, but another display of skill that came close to rivaling Pinneda’s was that of Jarred Santos of UNR, who remained undefeated in his 2nd ever amateur fight with a dominant performance over Antoine Dawson of Washington.
